On Wednesday morning, I traveled to WTNH — ABC studio in New Haven with Junior League of Hartford President Wendy Avery to tape a segment on Connecticut Style featuring the Show House! We had a wonderful time on set with the lovely hosts Steve Parker and Teresa LaBarbera. Many thanks to WTNH for featuring the Show House and highlighting the programs that benefit from Show House dollars.

There is so much great media coverage coming out about the Junior League of Hartford Show House 2012, it's almost hard to remember how bad the before pictures looked! And believe me, the pictures don't do justice to the amount of dirt, bugs and general disarray the majority of the spaces contained. My third floor bedroom space was not as bad as most, but still needed an amazing amount of work! See these before shots? Yikes!

Notice the floor? The previous rug pad was down for so long, it disintegrated and stuck to the floor! That white-ish rectangle is waffle-weave bits, melded into the paint. Ugh!

The Junior League of Hartford's Show House is set to open this weekend with a Gala on Saturday April 28. The Show House will be open to the public throughout May — check the Junior League website for specifics.
